To align with the economic development trends of Changzhou and enhance regional technological innovation capabilities, based on the current status and strategic plans of Changzhou Hongda Technology Group, the company established the Changzhou Hongda Intelligent Equipment Industry Development Research Institute in March 2014, with approval from the Changzhou Science and Technology Bureau.
The institute focuses on advanced technology industrialization and commercialization, aiming to create and incubate enterprises, form industrial clusters, and integrate market research, R&D, manufacturing, and marketing into a comprehensive innovation and operation center dedicated to fostering new businesses and brands.
The establishment of the institute represents an evolution of the company’s culture, mechanisms, and management expertise, honed through years of successful practice. Leveraging 28 years of accumulated expertise in intelligent detection technology, automation control & drive systems, digital production execution systems, precision machinery, and machine vision, the institute builds upon Changzhou’s intelligent equipment manufacturing and robotics industry. By integrating resources from universities, research institutions, and society, and with support from government agencies and organizations, it adheres to a market-driven approach, conducting R&D in a streamlined, modularized process. Through a multi-disciplinary, multi-organization R&D system, it achieves batch industrialization of technologies and products, ultimately realizing market transformation and value creation.
Currently, the company operates ten major divisions, including the Machine Vision Division, Robotics Division, Software Division, and Textile Automation Division, and has been consistently recognized as a key industry-academia-research partner for prestigious institutions such as Tsinghua University, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Southeast University, and Harbin Institute of Technology.
Starting with intelligent equipment manufacturing, the institute’s R&D spans smart textile & dyeing control, robotics, smart grids, logistics, new energy, and advanced materials.
