The three key elements of the stentering machine process that dyeing factory technicians must remember!
Setting Technology: A process in chemical fiber production. The purpose is to allow the stretched fibers to undergo stress relaxation, which helps improve the crystallinity and stability of various properties of the fibers and reduce their boiling water shrinkage rate. The method involves keeping the fibers under heated conditions for a certain period of time, allowing the macromolecules constituting the fibers to obtain sufficient activity energy, adjusting the "positions" taken by their segments, and making the energy possessed by the fiber structure tend towards the minimum. The setting machine is a device that completes the above process. Many aspects need to be considered during setting. (Forwarding)
Let's talk about
The three key elements of the process of a tenter frame finishing machine:
1. Temperature
Temperature is the most important factor affecting the quality of heat setting.
Because after the fabric is heat-set, the degree to which the original wrinkles are eliminated, the improvement in surface smoothness, the thermal stability of the fabric's dimensions, and other wearing properties are all closely related to the high and low heat-setting temperature.
2. Time
Setting time is another major process condition for heat setting. After the fabric enters the heating zone, the time required for heating and setting can be roughly divided into the following parts:
· Heating time: The time required to heat the surface of the fabric to the setting temperature after the fabric enters the heating zone.
· Heat penetration time: After the surface of the fabric reaches the setting temperature, the heat penetration time required for the fibers in each part of the fabric to have the same setting temperature.
· Molecular adjustment time: The time required for the molecules inside the fibers to adjust according to the setting conditions after the fabric reaches the setting temperature.
· Cooling time: The time required for the fabric to cool down after leaving the drying room to fix the dimensions of the fabric.
The setting time usually refers to the time required for the first three items, not including the fourth item. If the first item is regarded as a preheating effect, then the setting time only refers to the time required for the second and third items, that is, the time required for heat penetration and molecular adjustment.
The time required for heating and heat penetration depends on the performance of the heat source, the weight per unit area of the fabric, the thermal conductivity of the fiber, and the moisture content of the fabric.
3. Tension
◇ The tension on the fabric during heat setting has a certain impact on the setting quality, including the thermal stability of the fabric's dimensions, strength, and breaking elongation.
◇ The thermal stability of the warp dimension increases with the increase of warp overfeeding during setting, while the thermal stability of the weft dimension decreases with the increase of the width stretching degree.
◇ The average single yarn strength of the fabric after setting is slightly higher than that of the un-set fabric, and the change in the weft direction is more obvious than that in the warp direction.
◇ The breaking elongation of the fabric after setting decreases with the increase of the weft stretching degree, while the warp direction increases with the increase of overfeeding.
