The 17th National Technical Exchange Conference on New Materials, New Technologies, New Processes, and New Products in the Printing and Dyeing Industry opened in Shanghai on April 10. The conference invited relevant leaders, experts, and technicians from the printing and dyeing industry to discuss the latest technologies in the industry and the future direction and priorities of technological development. Changzhou Hongda Technology (Group) attended the conference as a special supporting unit. Mr. Gu Ren, chairman of the company, delivered a report entitled "New Development of Intelligent Manufacturing in Printing and Dyeing."

High-quality development of the printing and dyeing industry requires liberation from a large workforce and the popularization of intelligent and automated printing and dyeing equipment. Mr. Gu stated in his report that the core role of intelligent manufacturing in textile printing and dyeing should be to help textile printing and dyeing enterprises greatly improve their first-pass yield, thereby minimizing enterprise costs, increasing profits, enabling enterprises to achieve accurate fabric feeding and on-time delivery. In the production process, it can not only reduce labor and alleviate the labor intensity of workers, but also reduce dependence on operators' skills through intelligent manufacturing; it can achieve energy saving and emission reduction and green manufacturing from the source, driving the sustainable development of the industry with the power of science and technology, and creating a green and environmentally friendly development environment with science and technology.

Mr. Gu pointed out that the trend of intelligent manufacturing in printing and dyeing should be able to achieve deep learning of printing and dyeing processes based on big data and realize printing and dyeing production, while artificial intelligence is one of the important future development directions.

Changzhou Hongda has received numerous industry recognitions in recent years for its research in intelligent manufacturing in printing and dyeing. At the establishment ceremony of the Printing and Dyeing Machinery Branch of the China Textile Machinery Association, it was elected as the chairman unit of the Printing and Dyeing Machinery Branch of the China Textile Machinery Association. At the 2017 World Intelligent Manufacturing Conference, it was awarded the "2017 Textile Industry Pilot Enterprise for Implementing Intelligent Manufacturing" and the Industrial Development Contribution Award of the China Textile Industry Federation. The greatest recognition from the industry is that "Hawk Vision Intelligent Image Warp and Weft Machine," developed by the "Hawk Vision" brand under Changzhou Hongda, won the first prize of the 2017 China Textile Industry Federation Science and Technology Progress Award.

The conference also held an awards ceremony for the 2018 Outstanding Fabric Enterprises in the Chinese Printing and Dyeing Industry and the Top 20 Printing and Dyeing Enterprises in 2018, and established a product research and development and production base of the China Printing and Dyeing Industry Association. Cao Xuejun, Deputy Director of the Consumer Goods Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and Li Ling Shen, Vice President of the China Textile Industry Federation, and other leaders from relevant departments delivered speeches at the conference. The conference brought together many influential well-known printing and dyeing enterprises, and representatives from many universities, research institutes, and local printing and dyeing associations also attended the conference to exchange and learn.
